So today at about 5:15ish, I was playing Zelda: Ocarina of time and talking to Janelle. Somebody rings the door bell, so I send my little brother down to answer it. In about two minutes, he comes back up and says, "Ben, they say we have to evacuate the house, there's a fire." This was an interesting comment. Not one you hear every day. So I say, "OK," and say bye to Janelle so I can call my dad and tell him what has happened. He was coming straight home from work, and we were going to meet at a designated area.
I ran downstairs and went outside, and this short lady says, "You need to call your parents." I told her that I already had. She said, "Can you drive?" And, stupidly, I said no. (If I had said yes, we could have saved the car and left all the stupid animals (cats) home, because she made us bring them.)
I ran inside to get the ginea pig, and when I had come out, her husband was there. He said, "They've decided not to evacuate this area, so you can stay." Thats cool with me. Makes my life easier. I then called my dad, and he said that if they come back, to just take the car and drive somewhere.
I decided that it would be a good idea to watch the news and see what was going on. Apparently, there was a brush fire right next to the onramp going westbound on I-90 near exit 32. They said that it had been quelled pretty well, but might flare up again later.
This has been the adrenaline rush of the day for me. Never thought I would have to evactuate the house, I did.

I got stuck in that pissing traffic jam for nothing? your house could of burnned down at least, i'm saying anyone had to die, but it would of made the jam more reasonable. I sat in that jam for an hour! For nothing, if someone had burnned i could think now...."i didn't have it as bad as some" but no, i sat there for no reason at all.

I was in river bend (at kelsis house) when that happened. River bend is right across the river from cedar village, so it was cool. Lots of smoke, inhaling it killed. We thought ben had died.

I was coming back from Rattlesnake Lake with some friends when it happened. It was scary/cool/exciting. But it took forever to get to where we had to go. Then I was worried b/c my mom was picking me up that night. She had to drive over from Spokane, but it was ok b/c they opened up the exit by the time she went through it. So, that is my story on this matter.
